About the opportunity:

Isaac Regional Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced full time Manager Accounting Services to join our Corporate, Governance & Financial Services (CGFS) Directorate for a five (5) year fixed term contract. This position can be based in Clermont, Moranbah or Nebo and will be reporting to the Manager Financial Services, where you will work as a strategic partner with the Manager Financial Services to drive the strategic development and strength of the financial services function.

The successful applicant will enjoy:

• A five (5) year fixed-term full-time contract;
• An attractive remuneration package, inclusive of accommodation and limited private-use vehicle or equivalent allowance;
• 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading;
• 12% super (in accordance with policy);

About you:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, business or related field and demonstrated experience (3+ years) in a similar position are essential.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting systems in a similar or larger size organisation is essential.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards, statutory financial reporting.
• Experience within a Local Government environment would be highly regarded.
• Experience in providing leadership and management of department functions and activities.
• High level interpersonal, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
