The planning team at the Town of Port Hedland are developing a number of projects to complement our growing town and to improve the local community experience. To achieve this, we are bringing together bright minds looking to take on this exciting challenge.

About the role:

In this role you will assist with the day to day responsibilities of Development Services in ensuring objectives are achieved, legislative requirements are satisfied and a quality service is delivered to stakeholders. This position will complete duties including developing projects, assessing development applications, processing lands matters and mediation of compliance issues.

To be successful in this role, you will need knowledge of relevant legislation and policy and have experience in problem solving to facilitate compliance. We are seeking an individual who will thrive in a close knit team and has the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business as well as external organisations. Candidates with tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or equivalent experience are encouraged to apply.
