Parks Maintenance Coordinator
Bring your talents to North Queensland coast and partner with an award-winning Local Government as a Parks Maintenance Coordinator in a permanent fulltime position
As the Parks Maintenance Coordinator you will be focused on leading a dedicated team of Parks professionals to deliver the highest possible standard of service for the community in line with Councils Corporate goals and agreed levels of service.
To do this you will be focused on ensuring the strategic and proactive planning of works across the region as well as ensuring the program is adequately prepared for inheriting assets from ongoing residential development. You will be aware of industry trends and keep an eye out for innovation in order to create a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
The successful applicant will:
• Be an empowering and empathic leader with a strong sense of emotional intelligence capable of building and maintaining positive relationships across a large multi-disciplinary team as well as internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Hold a tertiary qualification in a park related filed with significant experience in managing and leading teams.
• Be confident and skilled in working with various stakeholders to gain in-depth understanding of position and corporate objectives, articulate solutions and implement changes.
• Conceptualise, create and strategize in order to find solutions to complex problems.
• Have substantial Parks maintenance knowledge including understanding legislative responsibilities, Australian Standards and developing processes to suit local conditions.
