The City of Glenorchy is a Local Government Area of Tasmania nestled between the stunning icons of Mt Wellington and the Derwent River. Glenorchy City is Tasmania’s fourth largest city and home to 44,716 residents (ABS estimated resident population, March 2011).

Glenorchy City Council is a community minded council that listens to its residents and responds to their needs. We are a Council that acknowledges its important social responsibilities to provide the services and programs that our community needs. We offer practical programs to assist our young people, families and older residents.
