Situated on the beautiful banks of the mighty Murray River, Swan Hill Rural City covers more than 6,100km2 and is home to just under 21,000 people. Reporting to the Engineering, Projects and Assets Manager, you will be leading a team to successfully carry out major projects issued within Council.

Your key duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Coordinating activities at Major Project sites
  • Preparation of cost estimates and material purchasing for Council major projects contracts
  • Overseeing contracts and contractor activities
  • Ensuring works carried out by contractors are completed as per Council specifications and standards.

Swan Hill Rural City Council is seeking an engineer with tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with experience in Project and Contract Management. You will also have a proven background in the investigation, preparation of detailed design plans, cost estimates and material procurement for municipal works and contracts. You will have sound team leadership skills as well as strong computer literacy skills, with qualifications and/or experience using relevant computer software programs and applications.

Salary: Attracting between $84,170 and $93,200 per annum (plus superannuation), dependent upon qualifications and experience. This is a permanent full time position within Council.
