Executive Director, National Capital Estate
The National Capital Authority (NCA) is a statutory Commonwealth authority established under the Australian Capital Territory (Planning and Land Management) Act 1988. The NCA performs a special role as the trustee of the National Capital and in this capacity, serves the interests of the Australian Government, the nation and its people.
As Executive Director, National Capital Estate (SES Band 1), and a key member of the NCA Executive, you will lead a diverse team responsible for design, construction and maintenance projects, pay parking, facility and asset management, contract management, procurement, and estate maintenance. You will provide effective operational leadership, strategic advice, manage and contribute to corporate reporting, and provide high level input to the Annual Report and audit management. You will be required to represent the NCA in inter-agency forums, community consultations, Senate Estimates and other Government committees as required.
To be a strong contender for this important and challenging role you will have extensive experience in governance, project management, procurement and contract management and excel in managing complex programs and resources. You will have experience in managing change, take an innovative approach to solving problems and have a record of delivering sustained, strong business performance outcomes. Your energy and enthusiasm, collaborative leadership style, representational skills and ability to engender trust and respect will be complemented by sound judgement and the ability to build organisational capability.
