Case & Activities Officer

We’re looking for a passionate and energetic candidate to join our Community Development Programme (CDP) team in the position of Case & Activities Officer.

This position is based in Kiwirrkurra Community.

You might be seeking a new challenge or looking for a new adventure. What we’re looking for are candidates who have the passion, energy and initiative to make a real difference in a remote Aboriginal community.

About the Organisation

Ngaanyatjarra Council is a dynamic and highly respected non-profit organisation that represents the interests of approx. 2000 Ngaanyatjarra, Pintupi and Pitjantjatjara people living in 12 Communities located in the Central Desert region of Western Australia.

About the Role

Reporting to our CDP Coordinator, this is a hands-on position that will require you to provide case management services to CDP participants and to develop, implement and supervise meaningful Work for the Dole activities. You will also take part in ongoing community consultations to ensure the needs of the community are being met.

This role would suit someone who is easily approachable, highly organised and has previous experience in supervising and motivating others. In this role you will be engaging with CDP participants on a daily basis and providing them with ongoing support and encouragement so that they can fulfil their mutual obligation requirements under CDP.

Previous experience in an employment services environment and/or in the use of the ECSN IT System would also be highly regarded.

You will also require a current drivers licence and national police check to be considered for this role.

Benefits

The position comes with an attractive remuneration package that includes a base salary of $62,364 p.a, plus 9.5% superannuation, 8 weeks leave per annum, 17.5% leave loading, PBI salary packaging, $4,333 remote living allowance, annual airfare and free accommodation.

This is an amazing opportunity for anyone truly seeking a new experience in life, particularly those with an interest in Aboriginal culture.

Closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 20 January 2017
