Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will assist with the provision of professional high quality patient care aimed at improving patient health outcomes. Maintaining cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team, you will implement appropriate nursing care and assist with general and specialised procedures from nursing care plans. You will plan and prioritise your own work program to achieve defined outcomes and exercise judgment when it is required to solve problems arising in your work area. You will also provide verbal and documented information within your scope of practice to patients, other health care team members, and members of the public. Within a supportive and learning work environment, you will have access to an ongoing education program supported by Nurse Educators and support to pursue higher educational opportunities both within and outside the hospital. We also offer flexibility to assist our staff in achieving work/life balance.
You will be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With experience in acute care nursing, such as Medical, Surgical, Emergency Department or Operating Theatre nursing, you will have evidence of consolidated basic skills and knowledge in one or more of these areas. Your ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a busy acute care environment will ensure your success in this role.
