Recovery & Resilience Planning Coordinator and Recovery
& Resilience Planning Support Officer

Following the recent devastation of the bushfires across the Clarence Valley, Council is seeking to appoint a Recovery and Resilience team for a period of 18 months to coordinate and support oversight of Council’s response to recovery and to plan and implement actions that better prepare Clarence Valley Council and its community, for future disaster events.

The Recovery and Resilience team is a two person team, with direct responsibility to the executive through the Director Corporate and Governance, to deliver some critical outcomes including the participation of key stakeholders in the development of an Emergency Resilience Framework that provides clear direction for the management of future disaster events.

The roles will suit applicants who enjoy delivering projects with tangible community benefits and who are rewarded by improving community outcomes. While previous experience in local government and/or disaster recovery planning may be advantageous, of critical importance to Council is the employment of staff who are able to clearly demonstrate the core capabilities of the roles in delivering the key accountabilities.

The Recovery and Resilience team comprises a Recovery and Resilience Planning Coordinator and a Recovery and Resilience Support Officer, both to commence prior to July 2020. The positions are grant funded and fixed term of 18 months.
