AIM Services (AIMS) is a leading provider of full facility maintenance services. We provide a wide range of services to maintain Auckland Council open spaces and buildings.

 

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

We seek a true kaitiaki (guardian) to lead one of our ground’s maintenance team based at Waikumete Cemetery in West Auckland. This is a great opportunity to work in an open space and contribute as a leader of the team to make the difference on how our parks and green spaces look.

 

As a Team Leader, you will make sure that all the reactive and scheduled work assigned to your team is completed by the person with the right skills and knowledge.

You will also have to make sure that all the work is done with a high standard of safety and all the machineries are well maintained and 100% functional. Most of the time will be spent on the field to assist and help the team to ensure high quality outcomes.

 

The team size varies from 5 to 8 members including mower operators, weed eater operators, experienced gardeners, sprayer operators and assistants.

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

  • Previous experience in horticulture, mowing and grounds maintenance is a must
  • Minimum knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting of machineries and tools of the trade.
  • A strong Health and Safety focus
  • People skills, empathy, right attitude and the ability to build and maintain strong team culture.
  • Ability to communicate well and promptly with the reporting managers.
  • Ability to deal with customers on site (public relations)
  • Confident in using smart phone applications for timesheet approvals, scheduling and emails.
  • A clean, full NZ driver's licence is required.
