The City of Canterbury Bankstown, the largest Council in NSW by population, is offering a rare opportunity in its Digital Media and Design team. The permanent fulltime role would suit an experienced video producer, with a proven track record in the private or public sectors, who is looking for diversity in their work.

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic team player who can produce multiple end-to-end videos for our internal customers.

This opportunity, based at Bankstown’s Civic Tower, will report to the Coordinator Digital Media and Design, and work closely with our Social Media Officer, Online Services Officer and Graphic Designers.

If you are up to the challenge, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in communications, video production training and or similar relevant industry qualification/experience.
  • Proven instinct for what makes engaging video content and the ability to develop a short video from concept to delivery, including writing scripts, storyboards and editing.
  • Familiarity with the principles of filming, and the ability to capture high quality video and audio content.
  • Proven editing capabilities using video production software including Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
  • Current Class C driver’s licence.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in video production.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce multiple projects simultaneously in a tight timeframe.
  • Highly skilled use of Adobe Suite, including Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects.
  • Experience in dealing with customers and working with them to achieve balanced outcomes.
