Application Close - 4.00pm Monday 9 March 2020Council is currently recruiting for a suitably skilled Grader Operator to join the Roads team in our Engineering department. This position will be responsible for organizing and supervising the day to day activities of a road gang undertaking both maintenance and final trim construction grading on Council roads and State Highways throughout the shire. The Roads teams undertake the following civil works throughout the Shire:
The Position This full-time position is classified at Band 1, Level 4 ($29.28 – $31.58hr) under Council’s salary system in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, working a nine-day fortnight, 38 hours per week. The successful applicant will be required to camp out of town throughout the Shire during the week and be available to work extended hours, including weekends. As part of Council's recruitment process, short-listed applicants will be required to undergo various pre-employment assessments, such as a pre-employment medical and a national Police check.
