The Opportunity

Information Services is seeking a Help Desk Officer to provide excellent customer service, being the first level of contact for all staff with their Information & Communication Technology (ICT) queries.

You will ensure that all ICT requests are responded to and resolved in a timely manner and provide high level customer service, whilst liaising with staff at all levels.

Some Key Responsibilities

  • Provide the first contact with all Councillors, Council Officers and contractors for their ICT queries and support requests.
  • Ensure all requests are responded to and resolved appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Resolve over 80% of incidents and requests on first contact and within agreed service levels.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and liaise with staff at all levels whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ensure the Council and ICT policies are followed for the security, stability and efficiency of the councils ICT systems.
