We are looking for an experience Occupational Health and Safety Officer who is passionate about safety and is an agent for change.  

The OHS Officer leads the development and implementation of Council’s OHS Management System.  The OHS Officer provides practical advice to staff on being safe at work, as well as all other appropriate actions to observe the OHS Act 2004 such as OH&S audits, inspections and observations across Council’s workplaces and jobsites.  The OHS Officer also leads the workers compensation and general insurance functions of Council, from policy renewal to claims management, including supporting injured workers in their return to work.

The OHS Officer works as part of a high performing, enthusiastic and dynamic team within the People and Governance function and is directly supported in the delivery of these functions by a Workplace Safety Officer.
