The Role

Providing support to the Chief Financial Officer, this role represents a unique opportunity in the management of the Procurement function. The role will provide professional support, advice and assistance while ensuring all Council’s procurement and tendering activities are in accordance with adopted policies and procedures and are in line with the Local Government Act and other relevant legislation.

About you

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who is passionate about continuous improvement, has the capacity to lead a team and engage with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.

You must have:

  • Relevant Procurement Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in all procurement functions
  • Demonstrated experience in contract administration and contract performance management
  • Thorough working knowledge of relevant provisions of the Local Government Act and associated legislation and regulations relevant to procurement functions and contract management
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff
  • Excellent customer service, written communication, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
