About the oportunity: Mackay Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for an engineering professional to join a passionate and energetic team as Principal Development Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising engineering assessment and construction staff in the delivery of civil infrastructure and providing key technical and strategic input. This position is accountable for coordinating all aspects of development-related applications and construction works, and has the authority to make decisions relevant to development engineering. Your skills will allow you to lead with vibrancy and motivation, with a focus on continual improvement and innovation. Strong communication will result in strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders to complement your strong technical abilities in the engineering design and construction field. Your experience will lie in the design, assessment and construction of all aspects of civil infrastructure, coupled with a desire to positively influence the outcomes for the community and the development industry.
