About the Role
We are seeking applications for an experienced individual to join Council’s Open Spaces Team. This position is responsible for leading the sportsground & surrounds mowing team, while providing general maintenance activities across the Shire.

Salary and Conditions
- Permanent Full-Time position - 38 hours per week with Rostered Day Off Scheme
- Salary Range $66,198 - $76,933 per annum, commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful applicant

Selection Criteria
Essential Requirements
Essential Experience and Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Certificate III in Horticulture, Landscaping, Green Keeping or Parks and gardens.
- AQF3 Chemical Use and Handling.
- Demonstrated experience in the supervision of staff.
- Work Health and Safety General Induction for Construction Work in NSW (White Card).
- A minimum of twelve (12) months demonstrated work experience in maintaining public spaces and public sports fields including mowing/slashing.
- Traffic Controller & Implement Traffic Control Plans.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
Personal Attributes, Communication and Team Work
- Demonstrated time management skills.
- Demonstrated verbal communication skills and ability to prepare standard written communication.

- Ability to be customer and community focussed.

- To be conscious of budgetary constraints and suggest ways to save costs.
Desirable Requirements
- Licences in the operation of Plant and Machinery
- Medium Rigid (MR) Licence
