The team at Let’s Get Wellington Moving (LGWM) are passionate about developing and delivering a transport system that supports Wellington’s growth, while making it safer and easier to move around. Let’s Get Wellington Moving’s vison is to build a great harbour city, accessible to all, with attractive places, shared streets, and efficient local and regional journeys. To realise this vision, the programme is focused on moving more people with fewer vehicles.
The team needs to evolve and grow to suit the changing needs of the programme as it moves into the design and delivery phase. This is an exciting, dynamic and complex work environment. In this role, you will join the Programme Integration team at the core of a high-performing and passionate programme, working across local and central government.
You’ll lead the Mass Rapid Transit Business Case team (consultant resource) to deliver a high-quality evidence-based business case and ongoing development programme for a mass rapid transit solution.
Integration of the solutions for mass rapid transit and public transport across the Let’s Get Wellington Moving Programme will be essential to achieving our vision. You’ll need to bring strong credibility to this project – this is a high-profile role with extensive stakeholder and public involvement.
Greater Wellington Regional Council is advertising this role on behalf of Let's Get Wellington Moving. The $6.4 billion programme is a joint initiative between Wellington City Council, Greater Wellington Regional Council, and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.
