The primary purpose of this position is to project manage the successful implementation of Council’s Community Engagement Plan to enable the review of Council’s 10 year Community Strategic Plan (CSP).
Working within Council’s Strategy and Performance Service, the position will work in accordance with the Council’s Community Engagement Strategy ensuring our community and key stakeholders, including government agencies, are provided opportunities to contribute to the review of Council’s leading strategic plan, the Community Strategic Plan. The role will also work closely with Council’s Strategic Resource Allocation Service to identify affordable and acceptable levels of service with the community.
You will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with proven ability to effectively engage the community and stakeholders from a range of disciplines. You will have an understanding of and commitment to the IAP2 framework for engagement, as well as a least 5 years’ experience working in community and stakeholder engagement, preferably within a local government context.
Salary: commencing at $2910.80 gross per fortnight.
