It's an exciting time to be in Invercargill and a privilege to work in this region.

With a high level of confidence, our prosperous southern city is undergoing the biggest resurgence in its 166-year history. Invercargill's reputation for being family-friendly is well deserved, with affordable housing, great schools, and amazing facilities.

Our Engineering Services Group (ESG) is responsible for looking after the city's network infrastructure for our residents ranging from fixing streetlights, to maintaining our roads, footpaths and drains. We are currently looking for an administrative superstar to join our Quality Assurance team.

In this fixed term role you will be responsible for providing administration services that support the efficient and effective running of ESG and keeping our roading corridors safe and work is appropriately reinstated. You will have a high level of attention to detail ensuring all of our processes and systems are followed, and a knack for continuous improvement. You will be confident using different computer systems and eager to learn ours.

Liaising regularly with key stakeholders including utility operators, contractors and members of the public, your strong communication skills, ability to build relationships and customer focus will all be put to good use in assisting to manage those who work within the city's roads.

Knowledge of Council's network infrastructure would be an advantage but is certainly not essential. What is key is your positive attitude and proven ability to deliver high level administrative support and quality management in a busy environment.

At Invercargill City Council we pride ourselves on our values - positivity, respect, responsibility and above and beyond. Finding the right fit for our team is really important to us and we work hard to provide an environment reflective of these values.
