Mackay Regional Council has an opportunity for an experienced and licensed Labourer/Truck Driver to join the Civil Operations team, on a permanent full-time basis. This position is based at the Mirani Depot.
In this role, you will carry out labouring, plant and truck operation duties associated with maintenance and construction of roads and drainage assets throughout the Pioneer Valley. You will be responsible for truck driving and other general labouring duties. You will use hand tools, shovels, picks and rakes, as well as mechanical equipment such as ride on mowers and rollers. While completing these tasks, you will provide a high level of client service at all times.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current General Construction Safety White Card
- Current QLD Heavy Rigid 'HR' Class Driver Licence with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Current Traffic Controllers Ticket
- Experience in road and drainage construction and maintenance activities

- Base salary range from $51,339 - $52,381 plus allowances
