Waste Education Officer

Are you passionate about educating the community on waste management?

  • Permanent full time - 70 hours per fortnight
  • Leaseback Vehicle or Allowance Option 
  • Salary from $76,847.02 - $89,038.80 per annum plus 9.5% superannuation

Georges River Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Waste Education Officer to join our dynamic and busy Environment, Health & Regulatory Services Team. The successful candidate will develop, implement and deliver community education on a range of waste management, minimisation and recycling initiatives.

Key Skills

  • Knowledge, understanding and experience in interperating Environmental and Waste Management legislation.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Proven mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and ability to liaise effectively and professionally with external bodies.
  • Ability to work autonomously to meet given targets and to work well and contribute proactively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work outside of an in addition to normal hours of work.
