About the role:
We are currently seeking a Flood/Stormwater Infrastructure Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating the delivery of flood studies, floodplain risk management studies and plans and any other stormwater works
- Technical design of floodplain risk management works using tools such as TuFlow, Drains, Music, XP-Rafts and HECRAS
- Managing consutants and ensuring projects meet deadlines and adhere to budgets
- Providing stormwater and flood advice
- Preparing plain English reports
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- General understanding of infrastructure requirements in a local government context
- Understanding of the Flood plain Development Manual
- Strong interpersonal, customer service and writing skills
