An opportunity exists to join Councils Office of the CEO team providing support to the CEO through the provision of professional, timely and confidential administrative services on a full time basis.
Key components of this position will include:
- Provide a first point of contact for the CEO to deal efficiently and effectively with enquiries from the Mayor and Councillors, CEOs and General Managers from other organisations, managers, external agencies, stakeholders and the community.
- Deliver confidential office management practices to maximise the efficiency of the CEO.
- Coordinate complex administrative projects and tasks to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of communication from and to the CEO.
- Provide administrative support for Council meetings and briefings to maximise the efficiency of the CEO.
- Contribute to the reputational image of the council as providing efficient and effective services.
- Promote information sharing and knowledge transfer to drive evidence-based decision-making, enhance capability and optimise capacity.
- Lead the administrative services of Council through co-ordination of the Executive Assistant’s Group
The successful application will be required to work from Councils Tumut office, with travel to Councils Tumbarumba office and other locations as required by the CEO. Prior experience or a Certificate IV in Business Administration is desirable, training will be provided for the successful applicant.
SALARY
Salary will be paid in accordance with the Snowy Valleys Council Salary System at Grade 7 ranging from $2,444.90 to $2,751.60 per fortnight (gross) plus 9.5% superannuation depending on skills, experience and education.
