The Asset Building Maintenance Team is responsible for the overall maintenance on all Council owned buildings which include the Civic Centre, Community Libraries, Sporting Facilities, Early Learning Centre’s, Community Halls and the Art Centre.
About the role:
We are currently seeking a Building Asset Supervisor. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all preventative maintenance and fire safety schedules are carried out on all Council facilities in line with current relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive job related experience in asset maintenance
- Broad knowledge of building maintenance activities including Building Codes of Australia and Australian Standards
- Sound understanding of Australian Standards AS 1851-2012 as they relate to fire safety schedules in buildings
- Clear understanding of the WHS Act and EEO principles
- Knowledge on the use of asset management systems (Conquest, would be highly regarded)
- Sound computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook and Asset Management and Finance Systems
- Sound understanding of Local Government tender and procurement processes and procedures
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
