He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Community Facilities (CF) is committed to making great places Aucklanders love while supporting a number of related services such as asset management and renewals of existing structures and open areas. Committed to a lifecycle approach to asset management, we work to build, maintain and renew our world class community buildings and public spaces including parks, walkways, libraries and leisure centres. As kaitiaki (guardian) of Auckland Council facilities, we play a vital role in promoting the wellbeing of our communities while also delivering strategically significant programmes.
Reporting to the Manager Construction Performance, the Senior Planner is accountable for all matters related to planning and obtaining resource consent approval for individual projects in a rolling ‘regionally prioritised 3-year new capital works programme’ for a significant portfolio of building and green/open-space infrastructure projects and ensuring that all requests are to a level that is suitable for obtaining business owner approval, resource consent and Local Board approval.
He kōrero mōu: About you
You will have extensive knowledge of regulatory consent process and experience in RMA consent planning, including attendance at formal consent hearings. You will have a proven track record in planning for delivery of significant capital works projects and programmes. With 7+ years experience in a capital works environment you will ideally have a tertiary qualification in project management (e.g. Prince2, PMP, CAPM or equivalent).
