About the Role

You will lead, manage and inspire your team to promote innovation, as well as, overseeing and managing the progress of ICT projects. 

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will:

  • Lead, manage and mentor the ICT Project team;
  • proactively monitor the progress of projects, resolve issues and initiate action;
  • deliver outstanding customer services internally and externally to ensure WDRC achieves its ICT program objectives, aligned to Corporate goals and plans;
  • be responsible for building a motivated and high performing cohesive project team;
  • promote technological change, risk and resource management; and
  • manage and update key stakeholders on the project's budgets and ensure delivery on time and on budget.

About you

The successful applicant will have:

  •  ICT qualifications and/or experience (highly desirable);
  • strong technical leadership capabilities and knowledge of technological trends;
  • provide experience in leading and managing teams in project management;
  • previous experience transforming an information technology environment and mentoring teams;
  • system implementation experience, data migration and a working knowledge of project management software;
  • knowledge of Solution architecture;
  • very strong verbal and written communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Prince2 / PMBOK / Agile experience (highly desirable); and
  • ITILv3 Certification (highly desirable).
