Our City Records team is looking for an Information Officer to help us offer excellent information management services to council.
City Records is part of Council's highly regarded Information Centre that provides and governs great information and data services.
As our Information Officer, you will be providing awesome information management and record keeping advice to Wellington City Council staff, to help meet business objectives and legislative requirements. You will also have an important part in managing and providing access to corporate information, as part of the Council's Information Centre team.
Key to your success in this role is your ability to engage with people and deliver an outstanding customer service. You will be highly motivated and organised with sound decision making skills and be someone who can work collaboratively in a team environment but can also take ownership when needed. Our ideal candidate can comfortably thrive in a fast paced environment, juggle multiple priorities and manage deadlines effectively.
We would love to see your experience in using computer systems (experience with document management systems and MS Excel is desirable) and the management of both electronic and physical records
It would be great if you have experience working in the public sector (local or central government) as well as an understanding of local government legislation - in particular the Public Records Act (2005).
