We are seeking a suitably experienced and tertiary qualified professional to join our dedicated cladding team.
This exciting and unique position is for a fixed term until 30 June 2022 and will contribute towards the City's regulatory response to combustible cladding.
Duties will primarily include the assessment of external cladding to facades of existing buildings, undertaking associated compliance action based on risk, developing fire safety strategies for existing buildings, the preparation of fire safety assessment reports and attendance at associated meetings and site reviews.
To be successful you will have:
- appropriate tertiary qualifications in Building, Building Science, Building Surveying, Engineering or equivalent
- proven field experience in fire safety projects
- knowledge and experience of relevant legislation, BCA, relevant Codes and Australian Standards as they relate to building compliance
- the ability to work collaboratively and autonomously with highly effective relationship skills
- experience in stakeholder management, including dealing with complex issues and an ability to negotiate and mediate on contentious matters.
