About Us

The Rundle Mall Management Authority (RMMA) was formed in 2008 as subsidiary of City of Adelaide (CoA) to create a proactive strategic management group, driven by the private business sector in partnership with the CoA, to meet the challenges facing Rundle Mall in a competitive retail and commercial market place.

The RMMA delivers a range of marketing, advocacy, governance and strategic management services to improve short and medium term economic outcomes, and enhance the long-term sustainability of the Rundle Mall precinct and is governed by a Board of Directors representing retail, property, business and Local Government. At an operational level, the RMMA is managed by a General Manager and a small team of marketing, events and promotions specialists.

The RMMA’s over-arching aim is to improve the Rundle Mall Precinct’s competitive stance and ensure a sustainable future for the diverse range of stakeholders. The Rundle Mall Precinct, bound by Grenfell Street, Pulteney Street, North Terrace and King William Street, remains South Australia’s most visited public and retail space and plays a key role in defining Adelaide on the local, national and international stage.

 

About the Opportunity

As part of the Rundle Mall Management Team, you will manage the retail and operational delivery for Rundle Mall including supporting retailers and property owners and ensuring the Mall is safe and well presented. You will also manage a team to drive activation and vibrancy for Rundle Mall, ensuring an exceptional visitor experience and achieving the income objectives in line with the Strategic Plan.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Sound understanding of current and emerging trends in retail operations and experiential marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Collaborating and influencing stakeholders to deliver operational solutions in a complex working environment
    • Leading and managing a team of professional employees, consultants and contractors
    • Procurement and understanding legislation in the context of events and operations
    • Managing and applying best practice principles and practices to the development and delivery of strategies, initiatives, programs, policies and procedures relating to activation, operations and experiential marketing in a public space, and monitoring and reporting on outcomes.

Please be advised this is a full-time, fixed term parental leave cover opportunity until December 2020 with a starting salary at the Level 7 Classification commencing at $101,699 + 9.5% superannuation.
