The Construction Planner is responsible for the delivery of construction projects and allocation of resources, including cost estimating, benchmarking, and project planning services. This role provides interface between Local Government Procurement and Team Leaders on project procurement and prepares project document packages, including cost estimates and tracking, records management, project management plans, and resident letters.


The ideal candidate for this role will be qualified in Civil Engineering, with expertise in planning construction projects, including ordering materials, reviewing drawings and liaising with internal and external stakeholders and residents. They will be a team player with high attention to detail and a passion for using their technical skills in a deadline driven environment.


Key activities of this role include:

  • Reviewing of engineering design drawings and the cost estimation of projects based on those drawings;
  • Preparation of construction project document packages including cost and time estimates, records management, project management plans and other WHS and Quality Assurance documentation;
  • Ordering of construction materials including such as drainage pits and pipes, pavement materials and concrete.

This role provides a salary range of between $77.7k to $93.3k per annum (inclusive of 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance) + superannuation.


A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role. This arrangement may be subject to change.
