We have an exciting opportunity for two Works Inspectors to join the team at Central Coast Council. You will be the eyes and ears on site for the Project Managers, and will be responsible for ensuring the effective management and delivery of works undertaken.
We are after a highly motivated individual with a background in the construction or building industry.
Key activities of this role include:
Assist the Project Managers in the management of various works and projects undertaken;
Regularly inspect and monitor the progress and quality of contract works;
Regularly monitor and undertake due diligence activities around WHS and Environmental compliance on construction sites.
Essential Criteria:
Certificate IV qualification in Building & Construction, Engineering or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development;
General Construction Induction Card;
Current Class C Driver's Licence;
Extensive experience in one or more of the following fields of Building, Construction, and/or Engineering;
Demonstrated experience in the supervision of contract works including an appreciation of workface contractual issues;
Demonstrated experience in the ability to read and understand working drawings, specifications;
Demonstrated experience assisting in the control of project feasibility, design, estimates, timeframes and quality requirements.
This role provides a salary range of $1,208.20 to $1,449.35 per week ($62,995 to $75,569 per annum) + Superannuation + Private Use Leaseback.
A vehicle is provided for official duties and private use leaseback is available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy.
A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role. This arrangement may be subject to change.
