Animal Management Officer



  • Permanent Position, Full– Time, 76 hours per fortnight
  • Salary Range: $68,028.23 – $79.059.28  per annum + super (subject to skills and experiences)


Stretching from Palm Beach to Manly, the Northern Beaches boasts more than half of all the beaches in Sydney and a population of more than 266,000. Northern Beaches Council was created in 2016 through the three councils of Manly, Pittwater and Warringah coming together to deliver the highest quality services to the community. Exciting new infrastructure projects and community programs have quickly demonstrated the positive impact the new council is having.


To enforce council’s legislative and policy responsibilities, particularly in relation to \ companion animals, to ensure council provides best practice compliance services that protect and enhance the environment and the safety of the community. To promote and encourage responsible pet ownership through education, animal management programs and events, and proactive and reactive patrols. To maintain accurate records and prepare reports in relation to companion animals.
