The North Burnett Regional Council is seeking the organisation's next People and Performance Manager.

The Manager will have a key role in preparing the North Burnett as a productive, safe and performance-focused organisation that is positioned to embrace its challenges and opportunities.

Change and organisational performance improvement are on the agenda, and the People and Performance Manager will be at the heart of the transformation in the council to progressive, proactive and innovation-focused organisation.

The Council is seeking a human resources leader who will enhance the organisation's performance through;

  • Provision of high-quality HR advice to the organisation's leaders and managers
  • Improving organisational performance through a structured programme of building capability in individuals and strengthening teams
  • Management of council's HR services, which include payroll, HR policy and procedures, industrial relations and learning and development functions
  • Achieve council's goal of Zero Harm through leadership of the workplace health and safety program


Engagement of the organisation in the council's mission is key. The organisation will respond to a leader who can connect the council's goals strategy and values to the day to day activities of the council's teams and individual staff members through well-structured work programmes and modelling of values and behaviours.
