About the role:

 

Information & Technology Service Group is working to enable our people across the organisation to implement, adopt and benefit from user-focussed, modern technology and contemporary processes. You will be producing and maintaining the Water Corporation Business Architecture, helping to ensure that high level business strategy is translated into actionable technology initiatives with direct contribution to the Corporation’s business objectives. 


Working as part of a dynamic and experienced team, you will love to share your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues and bouncing ideas off each other. You will become an integral member of a collaborative Enterprise team who lead ICT initiatives organisation wide, and this role will offer you the longevity to see projects through from development to implementation and beyond.

 
What the role will offer:
  • Develop and maintain business architecture roadmap based on situational awareness of business strategies, and various business scenarios and motivations
  • Establish current state assessments, define target states and perform gap assessments related to the Business and Enterprise Architecture of Water Corporation
  • Engage with business stakeholders to create and maintain Business Reference Models that describe what Water Corporation does and how it operates in business terms
  • Define the set of strategic, core and support capabilities and processes that transcend organisational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes
  • Lead a structured business architecture approach to capturing the key views of the enterprise in support of business transformation initiatives and specific architecture work
  • Assess current state and define target state maturity levels of business capabilities to plan and support a capability uplift
  • Collaborate with team members to determine inter-relationships of business architecture to information, application and technology architectures in order to provide traceability across all architecture domains
 Key skills and experience:
  • Extensive experience as Business Architect / Enterprise Architect with academic or tertiary qualifications highly regarded
  • Considerable experience using an Enterprise Architecture modelling and repository tool
  • Excellent consulting, communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to dissect complex information and present in easy-to-understand formats for a diverse range of stakeholders
  • TOGAF Certification and Business Process Management (BPM) experience are highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and understand business issues, problems and opportunities
  • Ability to translate business objectives into ICT initiatives along
