About the role:

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, you will work closely with the relevant Category Managers to play a key role in developing and implementing category strategies including sourcing and all contract management activities for the relevant business unit.

Please not this role will initially commence on a 6-month fixed term contract, with a view for extension.

Key accountabilities pertaining to this role are;

• Assist with the development, implementation and management of enterprise wide category and contract strategies
• Develop, implement and manage source-to-contract activities, including develop the procurement strategy in line with the business, developing market approach documentation ensuring inputs from all relevant stakeholders, engage with legal counsel on contract framework, provide input and guidance on technical specifications, lead and guide the tender evaluation and prepare recommendations for executive approval.
• Provide support to pricing reviews and contract re-negotiation, attending/leading performance reviews, resolving supplier performance matters and incidents, setting work allocation for panel suppliers, participation in supplier management and development forums and preparation of recommendations for contract review.
• Provide strategies for dealing with contractual issues and variations as they are raised, and consult with the business, Legal, insurance and compliance to prepare the necessary documentation

You will also bring:

• Procurement experience across IT including Software, Infrastructure and Services.
• Experience in non-IT categories will be an additional benefit
• Strong sourcing experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple source-to-contract activities in tandem.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in supply Chain or business management risk or similar
• Significant experience working in Transformational category management or procurement operations in a large complex organisation
• Demonstrated experience in business partnering to lead sourcing projects, support commercial negotiations and manage contracts across the lifecycle
• Participate in ongoing process and system improvements to improve business efficiently and risk management, and staff work environment
