The Role:
This position is primarily responsible for responding to complaints as well as implementing education and information programs to support the Companion Animal Act and the broader community.
Essential Criteria:
- Certificate IV in Animal Management and/or Certificate IV in Regulatory Services/Investigations or relevant work experience
- Extensive experience in Local Government Regulatory Services or experience in a role within the Regulatory or Law Enforcement Sector
- Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Companion Animal Act, Protection of the Operations Act and Regulations, the Roads Act, the Impounding Act and the Australian Road Rules
- Demonstrated skills and experience in companion animal investigations, conducting interviews and preparing briefs of evidence for court matters under the Companion Animal Act.
- Class C Licence and First Aid Certificate
