ASSET AND DESIGN ENGINEER / MANAGER

Cobar is a rural mining community located in far western New South Wales. Our shire is one of the largest in the state, spanning over 44,000 square kilometres.

The Position
The Asset & Design Engineer / Manager at Cobar Shire Council will have the responsibility for providing high quality design and estimates to enable you to plan an innovative and cost effective Capital and Renewal Works Programs for our diverse infrastructure portfolio.
Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and technically skilled Engineer with demonstrated experience in delivering best practice strategic and operational asset management, including life cycle cost analysis and predictive modelling.
Our preferred candidate will have a ‘can-do, lead by example’ attitude, be values driven and strive to make smart, sustainable decisions for the future of our community.
A total remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate, dependant on skills, experience and qualifications including an annual salary range of $86,000—$121,000, plus 9.5% superannuation and leaseback vehicle.
