Are you a law student, law graduate or junior law professional seeking an opportunity to assist our in-house legal team with paralegal support?

Georges River Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Paralegal/Law Graduate to join our dynamic and busy  Legal Services Team. The successful candidate will work as part of a team within the Office of the Director of the Legal Services and provide high quality legal services to Council as a public authority and statutory body, to ensure the protection of Council’s interests.


If you have relevant tertiary qualifications and an interest in planning, environmental and local government law, we would love to hear from you. Please submit a short (2 page) letter addressing the Position Description with your current CV and academic transcript as part of your application.


Key Skills

  • Ability to support the Council’s legal team in in the provision of high quality legal services in the areas of planning, local government, environmental law and compliance to ensure that Georges River Council acts within the law and that its interests are protected.
  • Ability to assist in researching and drafting legal advice on behalf of Council.
  • Ability to assist with preparation of matters for Land & Environment Court conciliation and hearings.
  • Ability to assist with preparation of matters for Local Court criminal proceedings.
