Senior Development Assessment Planner



About the Role

Council are seeking enthusiastic and dedicates candidates for the position of Senior Development Assessment Planner. The primary functions of the position will include:

  • Assessment and determination of development applications and Part 4 certificates;
  • Providing technical advice on planning matters and;
  • Mentoring staff within the Development Assessment Team.


The salary for this position is $84,930 p.a - 98,519 p.a + Leaseback Vehicle. Salary dependent on skills, experience and qualifications.


About You

In addition to relevant tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, you will able to demonstrate:

  • Five years experience in town planning or development assessment within a Local Government context;
  • Experience in staff mentoring and capacity building to professionally develop technical skills and experience;
  • Extensive and detailed knowledge of relevant legislation;
  • Experience in building professional relationships within the development industry and;
  • Analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to prepare technical reports.
