The Place and Projects team deliver programs and partnerships to create Vibrant Centres and projects that improve our community’s wellbeing. The ‘Love Ingleburn’ project has been our most recent high profile place project.
About the role:
We are currently seeking a Campbelltown Spaces Project Officer. This position is a new 12 month pilot program which will see Council acting as a space broker in order to increase the utilisation rate of Council facilities in addition to commercial owned spaces such as shop fronts, office space and warehouses.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social and/or behavioural sciences, public policy or similar area.
- Knowledge and demonstrated expertise in place based principles and practices along with a sound understanding of and commitment to, contemporary community development in a place based context.
- Experience in planning, developing and implementing community projects.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic outcomes when problem solving and addressing community issues.
- Experience in fostering and supporting formal and informal community partnerships at a local level.
- Demonstrated experience in working across internal and external departments and units to create project groups or partnerships.
- Experience of preparing reports, presentations and other media for senior staff, team members and external organisations.
