The Development and Environmental Compliance team is responsible for investigating complaints and resolving non-complying and illegal land use activities as it relates to development, swimming pool safety and environmental protection.
About the role:
We are currently seeking a Team Leader for the Development and Environmental Compliance team to supervise and lead staff and to effectively assist the team in service delivery.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Extensive experience in applying and enforcing related legislation in relation to a range of development, swimming pool and environmental compliance issues.
- Experience in supervising and motivating staff to achieve optimum levels of effectiveness.
- Computer literacy and a Class C Drivers Licence.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications including Certificate IV in Regulatory Services.
- Expert knowledge of regulatory enforcement tools, investigation techniques and the collection and giving of evidence.
