The Development and Environmental Compliance team is responsible for investigating complaints and resolving non-complying and illegal land use activities as it relates to development, swimming pool safety and environmental protection.


About the role:

We are currently seeking an Environmental Compliance Officer to investigate and resolve a range of environmental complaints, review technical reports relating to environmental management considerations and implement specific environmental compliance programs.


The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management or Environmental Science and related work experience.
  • Experience in the technical review of environmental reports relating to site contamination, vegetation management/rehabilitation, noise management and other related environmental management issues.
  • Computer literacy and a Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory enforcement tools and investigation techniques.
  • Sound organisational, time management and analytical skills.
