Community Planning Policy Officer (Social Infrastructure)



Liverpool is one of the fastest growing local government areas in Australia.  Liverpool will experience further transformative change in the areas of economic development, population growth and infrastructure development along with the need and demand for the provision of complementing social infrastructure.   


Working in Council’s Community Development and Planning team, you will be responsible for the following key functions:

  • Planning for social infrastructure and services that meet the needs of current and future residents.
  • Lead and delivery of Council’s commitments under the Community Facilities Strategy.
  • Consulting and engaging the local community in planning for social infrastructure.
  • Building credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project management.


You will hold tertiary qualifications in urban planning and/or community development and planning, and/or social science, or equivalent.


Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant.
