Community Planning Policy Officer (Social Planning)



Liverpool is one of the fastest growing local government areas in Australia.  Liverpool will experience further transformative change in the areas of economic development, population growth and infrastructure development along with the need and demand for the provision of complementing social infrastructure.


You will be responsible for assisting in:

  • Delivering on Council’s community planning program
  • Researching and analysing relevant government policy in relation to social and community planning matters
  • Analysing demographic data, undertaking needs assessment and developing appropriate strategies and action plans in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders
  • Assisting in the development and review of Council’s social policies
  • Reviewing social impact assessments and providing specialist input into Council’s planning processes
  • Building credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Designing and implementing traditional and online community engagement programs that support the delivery of the community planning program


Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant.
