MANAGER COMMUNITY WELLBEING



  • Total Employment Package up to $164,240 
    (Cash Component between $120,000 - $140,000) 
  • Contract - up to 5 years
  • Location – Newman 
  • Services locations include Newman, Marble Bar and Nullagine 


The Shire of East Pilbara is a cohesive community providing an economic hub for the region linked by vibrant local centres and shared spaces – a place to live and call home.


The Shire currently seek a diverse and creatively driven Manager Community Wellbeing.


Operating at a strategic level, this assorted role looks after projects such as the $400,000 ‘Art at the Heart’ four year public art project, management of BHP funding for youth projects, local events as well as multi community group initiatives and educational programs.


Variety is huge in this role, the successful applicant will contribute toward establishing and implementing strategic plans and community initiatives. With such a wide portfolio, the Manager Community Wellbeing also sits on a number of committees to best understand, advocate for and create in the best interests of the community across the region.


To be considered you will have experience in managing a number of service delivery areas such as Art & Culture, Community Development, Aboriginal Affairs, Lobbying and Advocating for Education and Training and more! A confident management style partnered with strong community awareness and a consultative approach to community needs. Experience in securing funding/grants is very advantageous.  


We offer this position of up to five (5) years with an attractive remuneration package of up to $164,240 per annum, subsidised housing and utilities, a highly competitive superannuation scheme, excellent leave provisions and private use of a vehicle within Western Australia.
