Things you'll do
This role is positioned within Environment Health & Building which is a business unit within Shire Planning. Environment Health & Building encompasses Building Regulation, Compliance, Tree Management and Health Regulation.
Reporting to the Manager Environment Health & Building, this position plays an integral component of the business unit.
Your primary responsibility is to coordinate the operations of 7 tree management officers whose functions include tree and bushland assessment, as well as ensuring development consents relating to tree protection, tree replacement and landscaping are complied with. It is also necessary to liaise closely with the Development Compliance Supervisor and Manager to identify priority areas for environmental compliance and to improve processes. The position is a critical touch point in providing information to elected representatives.
