About the Role

Based in Chinchilla, you will be part of Parks and Open Space team responsible for maintaining Council's park assets.                

Reporting to the Parks and Open Space Supervisor, you will:

• undertake a range of horticultural duties including the operation of horticulture plant equipment; and
• put safety first and work as a team to ensure the maintenance of the Chinchilla region's parks and open spaces.

About you

The successful applicant will have:

• proven experience in the operation of horticulture plant and equipment including ride on mowers and tractors;
• demonstrate competence or experience in amenity horticulture and mowing activities;
• possess good time management skills and the capability to complete allocated tasks within agreed timeframes;
• a Construction Induction Safety White Card (essential);
• an open 'C' class drivers licence (essential);
• A MR drivers licence (desirable);
• be physically fit and enjoy manual labour; and
• be prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical and a National History Police Check.
