About the Role

Council is seeking an experienced Project Officer who will be responsible for implementing, coordinating and supporting various projects.

Reporting to the Economic Development Manager, you will:

  • manage multiple projects involving various internal and external stakeholders;
  • contribute to issue resolution and escalation, research and analysis activities;
  • develop and implement project plans, policies and solutions;
  • contribute to the development of best practice in business systems by monitoring and reviewing work practices and making recommendations which will lead to continuous improvement; and
  • provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating, negotiating, advising and working collaboratively with others to reach decisions.

 

About you

The successful applicant will have:

  • experience in identifying and implementing business and process improvements;
  • demonstrated ability working in a diverse environment, under limited supervision;
  • previous experience managing multiple demands whilst still delivering to strict deadlines;
  • experience in the use of project management systems; and
  • proven ability in producing solutions to problems and resolving issues using analytical reasoning and experience.
