The Invercargill City Council Finance team is responsible for providing accounting and financial services to various operations within Council. We are currently looking to expand our busy Financial Administration Team with the addition of a Senior Revenue Officer.


We are embarking on a period of major improvement and change to our systems and processes. This role will have a key involvement in helping us to lead, redesign and implement these changes. Also included in this role is the responsibility of helping to oversee the day to day operations of the Finance Administration team including Accounts Receivable, Rates administration and Credit Control.


To be successful in this challenging and diverse role, you will ideally have the following:

  • Business Administration Diploma or Accounting/Commercial Business qualification or New Zealand Certificate in Credit Management (Level 4)
  • 4 - 5 years' experience of working in a financial administration role
  • Experience in staff leadership
  • Experience in financial transactional processing
  • Knowledge of accounting/finance software programs, as well as general computer literacy
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
